The Commercial Aircraft Corporation of
China, Ltd. (COMAC), founded on May 11th, 2008 and registered at
Shanghai. Mr Jin Zhuanglong serves as Chairman of the Board, and Mr
He Dongfeng as President.
COMAC is mainly engaged in the design, development, manufacture,
retrofit, flight test, sales, maintenance, services, technical
development and technical consultation of civil aircraft and related
products, and also business connected with civil aircraft
manufacture and sales such as leasing, air transport and financing,
etc.. Member organizations affiliated to COMAC include Shanghai
Aircraft Design and Research Institute, Shanghai Aircraft
Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Shanghai Aircraft Customer Service Co.,
Ltd., Beijing Civil Aircraft Technology Research Center, Shanghai
Aviation Industrial (Group) Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Commercial
Aircraft Magazine Co., Ltd.. And COMAC is the biggest shareholder of
Chengdu Airlines.
COMAC adopts the "Airframer-Suppliers" development model,
establishing three platforms-R&D, Final Assembly & Manufacture and
Customer Service- and focusing on cultivating six core
capabilities- aircraft design, final assembly and manufacture,
marketing, customer service, airworthiness certification and
suppliers management. COMAC adheres to the development strategy of
marketing, integration and internationalization, and take as its
mission to provide customers with civil aircrafts that are safer,
greener, more economical and comfortable. COMAC is resolute in
self-dependently developing large passenger aircraft that will soon
be soaring through the blue skies.
